Yet another celebrity death today as Darren McGavin, who is best known as playing the father in "A Christmas Story" died today.
He was 83.

alot of stars are leaving us this year.
Darren also played Murpy Browns Father in the series also
Both Don and Darren will be missed.

I've been scratching my head over this for a day now, and have decided to throw in the towel!
Sorry to have to ask you to explain yourself, but I'm not understanding the "Lake Michigan" reference. Did McGavin have something bad to say about Chicago . . .
. . . or is this in regard to "A Christmas Story"'s locale on the shores of Lake Erie??

This really bums me out! I just bought "The Night Stalker" box set a couple of months ago, and it's great! I think he was one of the "X-files" more memorable guest stars too!
Adding more to the bum-out - Dennis Weaver just died too! Rest in Peace Chester!
