Everybody got a cup of hot cocoa or other comfort drink? Good. Here goes!

Synopsis: Back in early 2005, using the late, lamented Cartoon Junction as the template, Tom and I set to work in deepest secrecy (I believe) on "building a better mousetrap" to get the full array of public domain cartoons (including the silents as they were meant to be seen) back out in front of the general public ... on TV or not!

While I began the process of scripting and co-programming a projected series of at least 12 half-hours on DVD, Tom set aside those available hours when he wasn't deep in study or chained to eBay ;) to round up the classic cartoon shorts we'd require, computer-generate a dandy show open/close/selection of bumpers (just wait 'til you see 'em!), and pixelate everything into a format even Boomerang would love! (Well, maybe that last part is a bit too much of a stretch.)

Eventually, as 2005 melted into 2006, we looked to have the makings of episodes 1 and 2 at least in harness, plus the copyright confirmation on our series title (which I will announce to the world as soon as both eps are good to go!). And other connected plans are still boiling in the pressure cooker.

So now you know where the Project's been, where it is, and where we hope it will go. Stay with GAC for much more as it unfolds!! And never forget that signature...!!! :D

Geezil and Tom~

Congratulations!!!! It sounds wonderful!!!! Here's hoping for the best possible results!!!

[Private aside, I drew up a very similar plan about 15 to 18 years ago for programming an over the air network with nothing but public domain cartoons!:) Such is life!!]

Burt & Tom:

I wouldn't worry about all that "copyright" stuff. You could always call your series "Cartoon Injunction!"

By all means, continue to keep us apprised of your progress and series availability!

Great news, I'll be following this. I'm currently developing a "public access" TV series of my own, much along the same lines!:)
