OT: I now have digital cable and HDTV!

I bought a high-definition TV and upgraded to digital cable this week! The cable box has a built-in video recorder so I can retire the VCR.

Now I can watch (and record) Boomerang and TCM!

Wait...Cablevision doesn't offer either channel, even on digital. :(

Oh well, I can always watch all the classic cartoons that they show on Cartoon Network.

Wait...They don't show any. :(:(

Oh well, I can watch my LTGC DVD's on it. :)

Do you get the Black Family Channel now? They show a public domain cartoon show, "Fun Farm" (no set timeslot; sometimes an hour long, sometimes only a half hour), plus they recently started showing Tennessee Tuxedo and Underdog (unaltered).

It's not a total loss. at least you can get Kid's WB(in hi-def) and Toon Disney.

The only Black channels that I get are BET and BET Jazz.

Yes they do! They still show Tom & Jerry, and there's also that Pink Panther marathon. May not be much, but's better than nothing.

I stand corrected about T&J. They don't show Looney Tunes or Merrie Melodies any more. I haven't watched CN in a long time.
