It seems like every day I find another reason to be thankful for my high-speed Internet connection. Today, it's that I'm able to watch these neat old clips. The first one I don't actually remember seeing, but it's a neat TBS promo from the days we all talked about here a month or so ago, the great T&J Funhouse-era. No T&J Funhouse clips here, but be on the look out for some quick Bugs Bunny footage, taken from Bugs Bunny Ride Again:

This next clip is much shorter, but brings back very fond memories for me. Anyone who grew up in the 80s and remembers watching the old WB cartoon specials on CBS certainly remembers this old bumper, which they used to let you know something special was about to start:

And here's a quickie that might take some people back. I never watched USA much as a kid, but I remember this, and I imagine people who watched USA more often would remember it even more fondly:

Finally, for some reason, I have a memory of this old PBS bumper, even though the web site I got it from said a new bumper was in place by 1984, when I was five years old. Maybe my local PBS kept using this bumper, or I just must've absorbed when I was quite young!

I remember the PBS bumper following the airings of "Monty Python's Flying Circus" when it was shown on Sunday nights.

Notice Bugs in the TBS bumper.

Wow! The bumpers are great and so less boring than the current we're have today :)

Alot of people don't care about the TV network bumpers, but I think they're a great way to show how a network has progressed and evolved over the years. And it's a nice way to look back at them and wonder why they ever changed in the first place. :)

I'd love to see more sites like this one.

I think it seems to be a bit more of a British phenomenum that they do care a lot about the way TV was presented in the past, and have made due with putting up what could be saved of that time. Somehow this never really caught the attention much across the waters where most people still didn't have a VCR for number of years.
