This weekend, I got two Christmas DVDs from a new dollar store in another city. They are put out by a company called PC Treasures.
"Cartoon Christmas" (no relation to Cartoon Network's holiday themed lineups of course)
This has the usual PD compilation on it, but there are a couple of interesting sounding ones, which are marked by a *. Anyway, here is the list:
Snow Foolin
Hector's Hectic Life
Christmas Visit*
Christmas Comes but Once a Year
Winter Draws On
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
A Christmas Dream*
Somewhere in Dreamland
O Come All Ye Faithful* (a "Hymnalogue")
The other one is a Christmas Double Feature.
"Santa Claus Conquers the Martians." A B-Movie about Santa Claus trying to bring holiday cheer to the red planet. Not animated, but noteable.
"The Night Before Christmas" Okay, many a special have this name, but this one is just a bit different. Its a rare 1968 animated cartoon from "Playhouse Pictures." Its about how the author of the namesake poem, Clement Clark Moore, came to write it. It runs about 25 minutes, and I haven't watched it just yet, but it sounds good.
