Robin Hood Daffy has encoding errors. It's progressive video until 3:04 into the short, when it switches to interlaced video.
This is weird because everything else (even the bonus cartoons) are encoded progressive.

I noticed the same thing on my PC, but on my regular DVD player it's not evident at all, even though (on the same DVD player) the interlacing in the cartoons on LTGC2 is very evident whenever you freeze-frame. (That is, when I freeze-frame "Book Revue" the picture quivers and flickers, whereas freeze-framing the second half of "Robin Hood Daffy" produces a normal picture.) Maybe it's some kind of artifacts, rather than an actual encoding error?
Anyway, whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be on a par with the outright wrecking of those five cartoons on LTGC2, but it's something to watch out for in future.
Incidentally, I corrected this on the PC by selecting "Perform De-Interlacing" in the advanced options. I don't know if all DVD-ROM programs have that.

Agreed... and on "Book Revue" too!!! What a tragedy...

I use Nero 6.6 and DVD Region/CSS Free and they allow you to "De-Interlace" also. It does help to make a better picture.

Well, I've already re-authored the GC2 cartoons with VirtualDubMod to turn the video back to progressive (apparently, it was merely flagged wrong, since putting it on 24fps progressive mode makes perfect conversion).
I emailed WB about this, so maybe they'll reply so a replacement disc can be made.

Still, it's amusing when the fans do take matters into their own hands (and with today's technology on most PCs that can do it).
