In the "Grand" Tradition of Tom and Jerry, Ren and Stimpy, and the Muppet Show, it appears that the NEw Beavis and Butthead DVD due out this Tuesday has Edits.

Even if you're not a fan of this show, isn't it just frustrating to see Edits plague a highly-anticipated DVD

I thought the show was funny and still do but if I saw this DVD, edited or not, next to a ~DOKKEN MUSIC VIDOES~ one then Beavis would have to wait till another day :D

As a Life-Long Fan of the Show, this news disappoints me immesnly, and it shows that Classic Cartoons aren't the only ones getting hosed.
Why can't these kinds of things happen to Spongebob or Atomic Betty.

I'm not surprised. B&B has been released on home video edited before. Heck, they even took all the fire references out of the syndicated reruns shown on TV after that incident with the boy who burned his trailer.

What's more maddening is that the fire incident with the trailer was just a cover up. The mother was a out and the boy was left along, and started a fire. Well, their TV didn't even have MTV, so how can he watched "Beavis and Butt-Head"!?
Mike Judge, however, apparently made fun of the "fire" ban by having Beavis yell out words that rhymes with "fire". For example, that one episode where the Manager at Burger World ordered B&B to replace the oil in the fryer, Beavis started yelling out "FRYER! FRYER!"

It's one of those moments that bugged me a lot. It's just typical fingerpointing going on.

He even said "fire" in an episode referring to someone getting "fired" from a job, but it was so dead-on!

Are the Time-Life discs OOP?
I'll be tracking those down... not buying this trash.

Somehow I never bothered with the Time-Life discs at all, as I had originally bought those compilations in VHS form years before. Don't think the DVDs have anything better off than besides the higher resolution.

Best of series, IMO: "The Great Cornholio" and sequel(s?). Who woulda thought B&B would go all educational on us about the dangers of sugar overload and make it so blasted funny at the same time? :D
(And, I'm just glad that episode's still out there for the viewing when the mood strikes.)

A word of Cauton: MF TOON. Since they went OOP, they've become hard to find, i mean Mickey-Mouse-in-Living-Color-Volume-1 Hard to Find (They very rarely show up on Ebay anymore, and Amazon is a gamble as well)

That may change when this new set gets released as unsuspecting (or less demanding) viewers buy the new DVDs and dump the old (B&B not MM, obviously). That would be the time to look.

These kinds of things DO happen to SpongeBob! "Just One Bite" was censored on the SBSP season 3 DVD.

Tis a shame. I was thinking of getting it. But like before, because something is edited, I won't get it. I'm assuming the Letterman cut is because of legal reasons. Ditto for the air guitar.
Also looking at the videos in the menu, these are mostly from the 1995-96 episodes, not the old videos.
I think I'll stick with my 7 VHS B+B tapes.
