It is not shown like that on the Golden Collection. There it is complete with the monster's fingers getting snapped in a mouse trap. You must have an edited version from television.

I'm guessing you have an edited version. The uncut version goes like this:

After filing Gossamer's nails, Bugs says "Now let's dip our paddies in the wa-ter!" and places the monster's fingers in a water-filled bowl. Immediately, two mousetraps snap down on Gossamer's fingers, causing him to scream in pain (and then whimper like Stan Laurel). Bugs makes his getaway up a flight of stairs and stops before a painting where the eyes seem to be following him suspiciously. He hums nonchalantly, then turns around and pokes the painting in the eyes. Bugs then runs off again, and the painting falls away, revealing Gossamer rubbing his eyes in pain. Gossamer runs after the rabbit and stops before another painting, one in which Bugs is obviously hiding. Gossamer slyly tries to poke Bugs' eyes, but Bugs pokes him in the eyes again and takes off before the monster can retaliate.

I got two coppies
1 from bugs bunny superstar and the second from golden collection 1
and still in both of them feel that something is missing

Well, whatever version features the scene I described above (which should certainly be the Golden Collection) should be the uncut version. I don't think any other edited versions of this particular short exist (it's not mentioned on The Censored Cartoons Page (http://looney.goldenagecartoons.com/ltcuts/)).

The Golden Collection Volume 1 definately is NOT edited as far as I can tell. It contains the entire cartoon:)
