I'm sure we've already done this topic to death, but I couldn't find any threads for it in the last 11 pages that weren't specific to one type (b&w Porkys, banned cartoons), so forgive me for doing this yet again.

While I can't go and make up a piece-by-piece breakdown for discs like some others have, here's what I'd like to see on the next volume, reality in full dose (because we all know it can't all be the b&ws and banned cartoons).

At least one non-Porky b&w
A b&w Porky with Gabby Goat, dangit, he deserves some exposure
A Sniffles short
A Kool Kat short, possibly even Injun Trouble as a From the Vaults extra for its historical value
Bunny and Claude
Tale of Two Kitties (Gruesome Twosome has whetted my appetite to see this one cleaned up)
The Seaman Hooks shorts as a From the Vault special (pretty much everything else from the Toon Heads: Lost Toons special has made it to the previous 3 volumes).

Since it's a given one disc will be devoted to Bugs, and at least one to the "all-stars," maybe one of the themed middle discs can be for Foghorn and Pepe shorts, since most of the rest of the big hitters (Porky, Daffy, Tweety & Sylvester, Road Runner & Coyote) have already had their turn.

That's about it. I'm not too picky.

Aside from Chow Hound, I would love to see the following Bugs Bunny shorts appear on the next set:

The Grey Hounded Hare - 1949
Bugs falls in love with the mechanical bunny at the dog track and lures all the dogs but No. 7 off the track to rescue her. After finally getting rid of feisty No. 7, Bugs gets his reward.

Hurdy Gurdy Hare - 1950
Bugs goes into the hurdy gurdy business, but his monkey "pockets" the take in his cap, leaving Bugs to can him. The little monkey sics a pal on Bugs, a gruesome gorilla from the Central Park Zoo.

8 Ball Bunny - 1950
Bugs again befriends the penguin from Frigid Hare, consenting this time to take him home. The expedition covers New Orleans, Martinique, the Panama Canal, and finally the South Pole, before the penguin reveals that he's actually from Hoboken.

Hare We Go - 1951
Bugs, as mascot, accompanies Christopher Columbus and his crew to America in 1492, but Columbus gets all the credit for discovering the continent.

His Hare Raising Tale - 1951
Bugs tells tales to his nephew, Clyde Rabbit, illustrated by clips from Baseball Bugs, Stage Door Cartoon, Rabbit Punch, Falling Hare, and Haredevil Hare.

Upswept Hare - 1953
When Elmer brings home a rare plant specimen, he unwittingly brings Bugs home with it. The Rabbit suggests, "If you can prove you're better than me, I'll leave," leading to a series of contests.

Captain Hareblower - 1954
Pirate Sam, terror of the Main, has reputation enough to frighten the entire crew of an "unprotected" ship, save Bugs Bunny. This cartoon has lots of explosions in the face, in rapid-fire succession. **much better than Munity On The Bunny and Buccaneer Bunny**

Yankee Doodle Bugs - 1954
Bugs gives his nephew Clyde pointers on early Americana, writing himself into about half the events. **I remember seeing this one a lot as a kid, but not once as an adult, and would love to see it again**

Lumber Jack-Rabbit - 1954
Bugs wanders into Paul Bunyan country and does battle with Paul's 124-foot, 4,600-ton puppy Smidgen. Warner's only cartoon produced in 3-D. **This is a shoo-in for classic status on the sticker label**

Rabbitson Crusoe - 1956
Yosemite Sam as Crusoe, sustaining himself with coconuts for 20 years, is delighted to find Bugs washed ashore on his island. But between Bugs' tricks and a man-eating shark named Dopey Dick, he finds neither sustenance nor relief.

Napoleon Bunny-Part - 1956
Bugs tunnels into the "headquarters du Napoleon" (apparently wrong turns "off the Hollywood freeway" mislead him through time as well as geography) and annoys Napoleon. **great ending: (Bugs): "Imagine that guy thinking he's napoleon...when I really am!"**

Ali Baba Bunny - 1957
Practically a morality play, with Daffy playing Greed and Bugs Moderation, as they end up in the ancient Middle Eastern desert on their way to Pismo and try to deal with a Sultan's ransom and its bloodthirsty guard Hassan.

Rabbit Romeo - 1957
Bugs tries to evade the advance of a two-ton lovesick Slobovian rabbit donated to Elmer by his Uncle Judd. **this seems to ring a bell...I seem to remember a big fat rabbit lusting for Bugs**

Barbary Coast Bunny - 1956
Bugs, swindled out of a solid gold boulder by Nasty Canasta, comes back to Canasta's casino six months later and cleans the place out.

Really? He was only in three shorts (though I actually tend to like those three shorts).

A Sniffles short
A Kool Kat short, possibly even Injun Trouble as a From the Vaults extra for its historical value
Bunny and Claude
Tale of Two Kitties (Gruesome Twosome has whetted my appetite to see this one cleaned up)

Not sure I agree about the Cool Cat short, Bunny And Claude would be good for another Hollywood parodies disc thematically, I guess - but I definitely agree with the rest.

Ah Yes ! " Much Ado About Nutting " . A great short . I always appreciated cartoons with a mininum dialogue . I could be wrong but for what I remember there's no dialogue at all in the whole picture .

The name of that short is "Fair Haired Hare". Thanks. Is that the same short where Bugs and Yosemite Sam almost get married at the end, or am I thinking of something else?

In terms of special features, I'd like to see a McKimson documentary (I suspect we'll eventually get one). Mention his work as animator and director, his strengths and weaknesses as a director, the problems he ran into when all his animators left, his lack of power at the studio compared to Jones and Freleng, etc. On a related note, I'd like to see some more of McKimson's quirky early '50s one-shots, of which we've only gotten "Early To Bet" so far; there's still "It's Hummer Time," "A Fox in a Fix," "The Turn-Tale Wolf," "Corn Plastered" and other strange gems that haven't been seen too often.

Also a documentary on "Great animators" at WB and their different styles. Pick out a few of the most important and longest-lasting animators at the studio -- like McKimson, Scribner, Harris and Ross -- have people talk about them, both as animators and as people, and illustrate the talk with examples of their work.

Hmmmm. Maybe a few 60s Speedy cartoons. (Not the DePatie-Freleng cartoons, but the ones with Sylvester that have never had a video release.) I'd also be interested in seeing some of the "12 Missing Hares" as Cartoon Network calls them and maybe "Wise Quackers."

By the way, forgive me if some of these have already been mentioned. I didn't read all the posts in the thread.
