Is the Tiny Toons character Sneezer supposed to be similar to Sniffles or Speedy Gonzoles?

Back when this show was first on the air, I thought he was supposed to be like Speedy Gonzoles. Then I saw Sniffles for the first time in Space Jam, where he was talking fast like Sneezer did. Some of my friends even confused him for Sneezer (they should have known better, since none of the Tiny Toons characters were included in this movie).

I started to wonder even more about whether Sneezer was supposed to be like Sniffles when I learned Sniffles' name, which is similar to Sneezer. Of course, I don't think Sniffles ever appeared on Tiny Toons, even though the Looney Tunes counterparts of all other characters did (well, I don't recall the Dodo ever appearing on Tiny Tunes, even though I have read that Gogo is supposed to be the son of the Dodo).

I always figured him more like Sniffles, but I could be wrong.

He's definitely based on Sniffles. His sneezing habit is his equivalent of Sniffles' sniffling. There was supposed to be a character based on Speedy -- they even named him, though I don't remember the name (someone else will) -- but he didn't make it onto the air. Though Speedy himself did appear in one Tiny Toons episode.

Indeed Sneezer is based on Sniffles, there was a Speedy Gonzales counterpart planned (the name escapes me at the moment), but it never made it to any finished episode.

And yes, according to Paul Dini, Gogo is the son of the Dodo from Porky in Wackyland. He's the only character that is blood-related to his counterpart.

Also , a partial inspiration is the little cute mouse in one of Sylvester's finest hours , " A Mouse Divided ".

I recall that a local GACster posted drawings of the Speedy Gonzalez prodigy some time ago, along with some other Tiny Toons production sketches. I think he wore big sneakers and a baseball cap, but I could be wrong (the mouse, not the local fella).

Yeah, when I first saw TTA, I was assuming Sneezer was a counterpart to Speedy considering that was Warner Bros. most famous mouse. I didn't figure out that he was supposed to be like Sniffles until later on.

I never noticed that Sniffles had a sniffing habbit before.

Were there any actual episodes that mentioned Gogo Dodo being related to the Dodo, or is that just a fact given by the shows writers/ producers/ creators that wasn't ever revealed on-screen?

That was me, and I believe Jon saved those drawings for future use, so maybe he can repost that character image. I recall his name was supposed to be "Lightning Rodriguez".

There was an episode of "Tiny Toons" (I think it was called HIGH TOON) that featured a Mexican mouse, but I don't know if he was suposed to be based on Speedy.

His name was Pedro, and I think he was supposed to be a chihuahua rather than a mouse. Although with the sloppy character designs used by the Kennedy animation studio (who handled that particular episode and actually had to redo the entire thing because it looked so bad the first time), it's hard to tell. The only appearance of Lightning Rodriguez was in the Wang Films-animated "You Asked For It", in which he's one of the many Tiny Toons characters who blink by on the screen of the machine that Buster and Babs use to randomly decide who the next cartoon will be about.

Sniffles...Sneezer...I think the connection is clear. Both are annoyingly cute rodents with a sinus problem.

It was just a fact given by one of the show's writers (Paul Dini, to be specific) and never revealed on-screen, as Javeman stated earlier in this thread.
