...and the rest of the (brief) Van Beuren "Toddle Tales" series, plus that same studio's Spinning Mice, a "Rainbow Parade" short and a staple of those everywhere-you-turn bargain PD collections.

I faintly remember an old black and white looney Tunes cartoon that ran on Nickelodian and cartoon Network at some point. It was about some moths. I beleive the film began with some fellow on a Piano, and at the end the moth ate his pants. Anyone else know this cartoon or know the title to it?

Yep. It's Eatin' on the Cuff (by Bob Clampett c. 1942) and it's already been mentioned in this thread.

There's a cheater "Betty Boop" cartoon called "Betty Boop's Rise to Fame", where a news reporter (played by Dave Fleischer) interviews Max Fleischer.

Ride 'em Bosko - WB
Ha! Ha! Ha! - Max Fleischer
The Adventures Of Popeye - Max Fleischer (that great scene where the little kid punches the bully in the face, right through the glass window! :D )
Goonland - Fleischer (doesn't the projectionist safety pin the broken film back together? It's been a long time since I watched that one..)

Eatin' On The Cuff (Or The Moth Who Came To Dinner)

[Edit: Woops, Tom Stathes mentioned this way back near the top of Page 1, sorry]

There was also a Bugs Bunny/Yosemite Sam cartoon that featured a train in the end had a live action clip of a bar with kicking girl dancers, etc. I forget the name...

[Edit: This is probably Hare Trigger also already mentioned in this thread. Sheesh, I'll shut up now. ]

Ub Iwerks' "The Air race" is another one. I think the Flip the frog cartoon "the Bully" has a scene of Flip flying over a live action globe too.

Thanks everyone, I think I have seen some of these before but there are a lot more I haven't. I think its a great effect when they add the two into one.

The "censored" gags in "Cartoons Aint Human" and "Shape Ahoy".

The Captain and the Kids cartoon "Buried Treasure" has a brief bit of live-action footage, but it's not blended with animation.

I made one inspired by OUT OF THE INKWELL after I graduated from High School in 1970 called "The Brain." Below are some select scenes.

What about the Alice Comedys that Disney made in his early years?

Porky's Movie Mystery has a crowd scene.
There's a Pink Panther cartoon where Henry Mancini appears at the end.
There's a couple of cartoons (Lights Fantastic, Rebel Rabbit) that have a real
shot of New York, Times Square I think.
oh one more - Who Killed Who? - MGM "Now we'll see who done it!"

Actually, it was suggested earlier, and was a live action element of the girl added to the animation , not animation combined with live action.

Not a classic cartoon, but a guilty pleasure for some classic cartoon lovers (including me): SpongeBob Squarepants has had live action in some of its cartoons (as well as the feature, with an appearance by David Hasselhoff).

The TV episode that I'm thinking of is "The Suds," where SpongeBob falls asleep with the refrigerator open and catches a bad cold. In the live scenes, SpongeBob is a real sponge, and Patrick is a real starfish!

I liked the episode where they showed the unfortunate fate of Mrs. Puff's husband, Mr. Puff.

"CLICK"!

I laughed hard at that one!
