Hi,
In the animated version of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" there are Chad and Tara looking like teenagers in opposite to the real movie, in which they are young adults. What could be the reason for the producers of the cartoon to make such a change for Chad and Tara into teens and in which age could be Chad and Tara from the animated series? For your opinions I would be very grateful.
Regards
Jan This change was obviously made to appeal to children, as the producers felt that younger characters who relate and connect better with the audience, which was kids.

I've never seen any of the 'Killer Tomatoe' movies, but i have seen the cartoon. Not the best cartoon, but it had some good jokes every now, and then. I'm surprised to learn that Chad, and Tara were drastically altered so that they would appeal to a younger audience. Proving that some movies don't always translate into cartoons that well.

Also, maybe it was because of the Saturday morning censors. When they made a Saturday morning cartoon version of Mork and Mindy, the censors wouldn't allow them to live together as in the original series, so the characters became teenagers who went to the same school.
