Ant and Aardvark made more appearances in the syndicated "Pink Panther" comics.

Don't you just miss the old days where Aardvark just chased Ant around, while talking about about censorship when his efforts fail?

Speaking of these guys, Charles, I've been meaning to ask you... I've seen cels of the Ant and Aardvark all over eBay, and they seem to be taken from television productions. Did DePatie-Freleng make new Ant & Aardvark cartoons for TV? If so, were they any good (which I'm doubtful of)?

Those cels were mostly from the 1993 "Pink Panther" series, where the Panther talked. Ant and the Aardvark, as well as the re-designed Dogfather, appeared in this series. While those cartoons were pretty bad, it's interesting to point out that MGM got John Byner to voice them again. First time since the 1970s.

DFE didn't make new "Ant and the Aardvark" cartoons for television, however, they made skits that aired in "The Pink Panther Show" where the Panther interacted with silent Ant and Aardvark. They were interesting and worth watching. I think some of those aired on UK Boomerang (I know "Inspector's Safety Lectures" skits aired sometimes). I think Art Leonardi directed most of those (I know he was in charge of the redubbed "Texas Toads")

So, unless you liked the 1993 Panther series, I suggest you don't waste your money on these. If you want me, or anyone else to identify whether this is a DFE cel or a 1993 cel, post the link here. (and even the 1993 cels have Friz Freleng's signature)

I'm pretty sure that Aardvark pose in the last one is just licensing control art.
