Need some advice on "The Muppet Show" dvd set.

Does anyone have the first complete season of "The Muppet Show" and there;s just a few questions I need to know off.Now, I'm a huge fan of this groundbreaking series and I did hear that the was an edit on one of the episode and is this collection worth buying anyway?

1.Are there any more edits on this set?
2.Does this set include the original show opening?

I'd say it's worth buying. The quality is outstanding, as far as PAL-to-NTSC goes.

1) You can read about the edits in this review (http://www.ultimatedisney.com/muppetshow-season1.html). It's only in five episodes, but at least we've got nineteen complete ones. (I also have complete versions of those particular five, so PM me if you're interested)
2) Yes, the original Season 1 openings are present on all episodes - something a lot of us didn't expect.

Yes, if you love the Muppets, this is worth the $30. Sure, 5 episodes are edited. But at least they actually tried to make it uncut, unlike a certain studio with their :tomcat: and :jerry: DVD's. :D

The video quality is great as The G Man said, but if you have the Time-Life DVD's you might want to hold on to them as episodes in future sets may be edited. And if you liked that, pick up the season 1 set of "Fraggle Rock".
