Just to let those know who havent picked up Flintstones/Season 1 or Scooby Doo Season 1&2 I just picked up Flintstones season 1 for $20.00 at a store called Family Dollar..The One I got was the only copy they had and they had it and one copy of Scooby Doo at the checkout counter..Family Dollar is a discount-(Not dollar for everything) store that has locations in most of the country..It might be hit or miss whether you'll find either or not..Most Large cities have several Family Dollar Outlets..(i think none in California)

And it seems we have a couple of those stores Out Here too. Did you happen to notice, Tim, whether your store had tempting prices on any other animation DVDs? Thanks. :D

I just bought Top Cat at a local BJ's in NH for $21, they had the Flintstones sets for $21 also, and the Looney Tunes Golden Collections 1 & 2 for $27 each! I already own both, but I picked up another copy of LTGC1 to give my dad for his birthday. Why is Warner's seemingly clearing these out, are they going out of print?

Not really..The store closest to my apartment (where I got the Flintstones DVDS) Has a few low priced Dragonball VHS.. Cartoon Prostars (Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson in Cartroon form) i think $5 or less.. and the Dudley DoRight (Canadian Gothic) VHS from the Rocky And Bullwinkle series released a few years back at $1.50. I did buy a 32 show PD set (no animation, but some different shows than normal) Under the TV Guide name for $5.00

Thanks for the tip. I just ran out and purchased both sets. I don't think I'm am going to be using my ticket for Scooby-Doo 2. If anybody wants it, I'll let you have it cheap.:p Awesome deals, though. I just wish they had Top Cat! I'll be keeping my eye out for it.

I'm glad you found them. It seems that sales at my local Family Dollar store are the same across the country..I too want the Top Cat Series..and would pay up to $25.00 for it there if they had it..

It might be Warner Home Video's way to get more people collecting the season sets. They reduce the price on the earlier season sets (that all the diehard fans/collectors already own) to attract some new customers. Those newcomers who like what they see and then go out to buy the more recent (and more expensive) volumes. Just a theory. As far as I know, none of them are going out-of-print at this time.

Thanks for the tip -- I still need to pick me up the first season of the Flintstones. I actually didn't get on board with the season sets until the Season 2 box set. :shame:

I still need the Jetsons, too.
