Weird thing in DFE opening credits

Many DePatie-Freleng cartoons credit Harry Love as coordinator, but it doesn't read "coordinator", it reads "coördinator". Does anybody know why?

I noticed that, too. My guess this is how "coordinator" is pronounced, and added it, like how dictionaries would.

The two dots (diaeresis) over the second "o" is an older spelling that indicates that the two "o's" are to be pronounced separately.
