Just got this box, and have watched 3 of the cartoons. They look pretty good. Not restored and remastered good, but very nice transfers.

The Early Bird and the Worm is very odd - I keep waiting for the cartoon to start making fun of itself. An almost innocent air to it. And yes, the two crows are there, it's uncut.

The Bookworm - wow, MGM does a books-come-to-life cartoon! This was great, lots of fun stuff.

The Goose Goes South - This was very cute, but seemed short. Do any cartoon experts know if it's supposed to be just 6:14 long?

I have the cartoon fully uncut, and my version runs 7:44.... I think you would know if it were censored- there's some extremely offensive scenes regarding some Southern 'folk at various points in the cartoon.

Seeing as this cartoon is already edited, here's an example of something missing from it:

Wow, censored bonus material on a WHV live-action release? That's a first for WB! Hopefully maybe a miscellaneous MGM cartoon set will be out in the future that has the Happy Harmonies, Captain and the Kids, the non Tom and Jerry HB toons, and other one-shot cartoons like that donkey in "Innertube Antics" and "The Tree Surgeon", all fully restored and unedited.

I'll give WB the benefit of a doubt because they probably just grabbed a print off a shelf but if they're ever going to truely restore these cartoons by striking new prints and performing new transfers and then put them in their own box set, they had better not be edited in anyway or else what would be the point of all that restoration?

Exactly where is that scene supposed to be in the cartoon. The edit was clean, I couldn't tell one was done.

Speaking of edits, was there one in The Bookworm? It looks like there was one during the scene where the books come to life to defend the worm.

Also, The Bookworm was very DVNR-ed. It looked awful.

What are the other scenes that were edited out the cartoon? Where in the cartoon were they removed, and can you provide some pictures. They must've been extremely offensive. That pic with the baby in the alligator's mouth is creepy.
