For those of you who don't know, "The Jackson 5" was a cartoon show from the 70's. It features Michael, Tito, Jermaine, Marlin and Jackie who all does the voice themselves set in an animated style. I remember the show since I was a kid. VH1 aired the reruns about 10 years ago, but now it's gone.:( I missed that show. Here is a description:

Cartoon adventures of the singing, dancing Jackson family, including a blue snake and the rest of Michael's menagerie.

The ABC cartoon series used the voices of the actual Jackson Five and was the closest thing around to music videos in the Seventies - too bad the cartoons were so awful.

This cartoon was done by Rankin/Bass, the company who produced the TV specials like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Frosty the Snowman" and many of these great holiday classics. Produced in association with Motown Productions. It started in around 1971 and last just one season in 1972. Here is the picture.

I always been both, the Jackson 5 and a Michael Jackson fan forever, but I've never seen that cartoon in years. I hope soon, maybe it will be on DVD. I'm not sure what it is. Will see.

By the way, I found this theme song off of Toon Tracker. It was the "Jackson 5" opening theme. It features a medley of their big hits. Let's take a listen.

Yes, I remember as easy as A- B- C. There was one episode where The Jacsonsvisted an "Animation Studio," and were taken on a tour by "McCay Winsor," and voiced by Paul Frees.

I remember this show from sometime in the 80s, probably in reruns around the time of Michael's success with "Thriller." I can remember the singing, but I can't seem to recall any of the plots. Might be interesting to see an ep. of this sometime again.
