Does any know why the Pink Panther cartoons on Boomerang are now starting without the intro and Title Card?

Personally... I think it's Turner's way of making sure one can't archive the entire toons for their own personal collection. Sure you may hear time restrictions this or that... but that's just one guys opinion.

I might be thinking of something else when I think of title cards, but from what I've seen so far it varies as to whether or not a cartoon has all of its credits and tags, etc. My guess would be that Boomerang was just sent a variety of different kinds of prints of MGM.

After all, if it was a matter of preventing people from recording shorts for archive purposes (which the logo bug alone probably does quite well for some), then all the Looney Tunes and Popeye shorts would be missing their respective intros and whatnot.

hopefully this is not going to be the norm when (and if) the complete Pink Panther cartoons boxset comes out.

It has been released in Europe and all the cartoons have Mirisch Films-logos and title cards.
