When Daffy opens his vest to get his badge to put on. There is a badge thats says "Junior G Man". I'm just curious if anyone knows what this is refering too or making fun of. Since nowadays in the Rap industry there is G this and G that. I wondered if G referred to something like this back then too.:daffy:

It's a reference to what Machine Kelly implored the heavily armed Feds/early FBI with when they cornered him back in the Thirties (rough quote) "DON'T shoot G-men, DON'T shoot G-men!!". Although most criminals called them "Feds", the "G-Man" term thrilled both law-enforcement and the media of the day. The name stuck and was used in various programs and movies aimed at children and adults! Annnnnd there was a radio program that debuted in 1936 called (what else but) "Junior G-Men" on the Mutual Radio network (yes about a kid battling crime). And thence the gag even got into "Dripalong Daffy". Are you sorry you asked yet?? :D :daffy:
