I wanted to let everyone know that I wrote to the gentleman yesterday and as best as I could, I tried to be clam, professional and polite.Well, he did write back and he took off the dvd right away, but in his response he was kinda rude to me in his response.
The most shocking aspect is that I know the guy and he made himself a copy and really didn't think much of the four Krazy Kat cartoons and decided to sell them on ebay.To be totally honest with everyone, is that I don't mind that he made a copy for himself, because I do want people to see these cartoons, wether you like shorts or not.But what I do mind and was offended was that he went behind my back and tried to make a fast buck off of these classic gems.
I wish not to reveal his name and he does live in the New York area in Baldwin, as that's all I'll address about him.I would personally like to thank everyone's support and you are great friends to me and I won't forget that.I hope that everyone understand's that I do have goals for these long lost classic Krazy Kat cartoons and I have busted my butt to make this project a success and to bring Krazy Kat to a new generation of classic cartoon fans.
As of now, I'm still doing work on this project, as I'm developing a web-site strictly devoted to the theatrical screen career of Krazy, working on a big article with an entertainment magazine about the discoveries and so much more that I can't discuss right now, but I promise it will be good for all of you.
I can say that there are currently no plans for the four Krazies to be released on dvd for now, but heck, you may never know what can happen down the road.My first goal is to promote about their discoveries, the history behind the films and hopefully attract some theater owners(namely Cinecon, lol) and then I'll take it from there, as it won't be easy, but I'll try my best.Hopefully within the coming weeks, I'll be able to share the titles and offer some reviews for people that have seen these classic silent treasures.
So once again, I want to thank everyone for standing behind me and made sure the justice was done and it was!
Thanks my GAC Family,
Nelson aka MOE HARE
