What should WB do with their money? I think they should make more Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies.

And multiple choices are allowed. It would be hard to do the choice between the first two...

You forgot the "Give it all to me!" option, which I suspect would win by a wide margin. Since that option isn't there, I voted to restore their classic cartoon library with it.

Oh, that's not hard at all. Door number two! Restore lots more classic cartoons!!
The trouble is, of course, that before they could "make more classic cartoons," WB would have to give back all the jobs to the people they took (sorry there, Popeye).

I chose two. Restore classic cartoons, of course. I think they should restore all of them (even the Buddys).
But I also chose buy other companies because I wish they would buy one company, namely, Cablevision.
I sadly believe that if they made new cartoons we would be severely disappointed in the results.

I voted for everything but Loonatics.
As far as buying companies, they could always buy King Features to solve the Popeye on DVD dilemma.

I think they should use it to restore the classic cartoons. It would be nice if they made new classics, but in order to do that, they'd have to revive the people who worked on the originals back from the dead.

Use it to make more cartoons shorts
Use it to restore the classic cartoons
Use it to put the 'Silver Age' cartoons on DVD
Use it to make 'Duck Dodgers' better
Use it buy King Features Syndicate
Use it to employ more skilled animators
Use it for a full piece orchestra

damn, your suggestion may put them out businees, that show dosen't need a face lift it needs to be gutted , burned and redone enirtely. As for my suggestion, I think they should restore old cartoons, I almost crapped my pants when I saw when they beautifully restored the cartoons on the golden collection.

Number two, please! Frankly, thinking about the consequences of the rest of those choices makes me shake like a dog trying to pass a peach pit.
Here's a far better choice-give a couple dozen of us cushy jobs as consultants!

I voted for the first two:
Make more classic cartoons
Restore classic cartoons
I can't see how you can say that WB should make more classic cartoons, as whether they're classic or not is a matter of opinion. I'm not sure, but did you mean "WB should make more cartoons using the classic characters"?

I know exactly what your talking about "Duck Dodgers", that weak, watered down version of Chuck Jones' classic cartoon. But your right, the reason why the animation is mediocre is because its a horrible interaction between 2-D animation and CGI. But when you say the " silver age shows form the 90's" your talking about something like animaniac's, right ?

Definetly do NOT create new Looney Tunes and Merries Melodies. Chuck Jones was Looney Tunes, and he is now dead and without his talent animation, the cartoons simply wouldn't be the same. In my opinion, he and a few select group of others are the only ones who can properly create these cartoons. I base this on the fact that I haue truly never seen anybody else do a good Looney Tunes besides this select group. It's just like with Picasso, Dalí, Beethouen, or Shakespeare, they're inimitabababable (:) ). It would simply be disrespectful to the creators to make new ones. We like the classics, not caricatures of the classics. I guess the Flash toons are okay, but don't make new cartoons without the master of cartoons Chuck Jones, or the other greats at WB. Not to mention Mel Blanc is sdead. You simply can't emulate his voices. Billy West and that other guy, are good imitations, but simply not up to snuff. I don't know, without Blanc...it just isn't the same, without his genius and talent... I say start restoring EVERY cartoon in their library, and hurry up and release Buddy cartoons in the next Golden Collection. And don't buy more companies who would want an euil company like Time Warner controling more... And to Mr. Pannozzi, Tiny Toon Adventures is an INSULT to the classics. It has awful animation and is VERY preachy, while posing as hauing "intelligent" uptodate humor (same goes for Sylvester and Tweet Myskeries although I think they didn't euen try there...). It's so talky, but to each his own :) . I do agree though... release Pinky and the Brain AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the only good section of Animaniacs, truly brilliant, the greatest cartoon since the classics. But anywat, I think Animaniacs will be released on DVD soon... go here, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005JNS3/qid%3D1116023667/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/002-2081658-4224869
but nobody's making any promises. Anyway, I do think Warner should start releasing the Golden Collections faster and with a helluva alot more variety. As I said in a previous post, more 60s toons (yes I know there hated, but I want EVERY TOON not a slect era of Fourties and Fifties...) and more early thirties toons (especially the Buddies, every Bosko whith ORIGINAL TITLES, no crappy AAP seen in the Image Complete Bosko releases) which would truly be the greatest, to finally take these out of the vaults). One company I think Time Warner SHOULD buy would be King Features syndicate and release every Popeye in one gargantuan, set, rather than having to deal with tapes of the Popeye show. God I hate videos, I can't believe I taped over a whole tape  ) and treat Tom and Jerry with more respect. Really, the crappy Spotlight collection which I was duped into buying is crappy, and more than just edits, it looks like the same dirty prints rerun of Boomerang every day, and no cropped Pink Panther either. While we're on the subject of Boomerang, I wish they really pandered to us animation fans, and had unedited, black and white (where applicable) Looney Tunes, and Black and White Popeyes, and Tom and Jerry's with Lillian Randolph and no stupid crappy edits. As for Loonatics, seriously what a JOKE. I'm glad no one voted for that mess... Cartoon Network also needs to be improved, and more Classic Cartoons should be aired on Turner Classic Movies. Once a month is not a nuff. They should have an hour block every day dedicated to unedited, unaltered Looney Tunes from Warner's VAST library. And who owns Terrytoons, I think Terrytoons should get released on DVD properly, but I am not totally sure if they are owned by Warner Brother$ or not... On the subject of DVDs, I think that they should pander 'em more to Animation fans, not to the average consumer (see Disney's classic cartoon releases (exmay on the Eonard Maltinnay). What a waste of mone Spotlight collection. Who would be duped into buying that inferior product. Just reminds me of what scheming money grubber jerk idiots that run Warner Brothers (see Tom and Jerry spotlight Collection...Sigh................................. ...........................
But overall I think Warner Brothers is doing a very good job....... :D :D
Sincerely...Pinque

what is wrong with tiny toon adventures ???, it had sharp and wonderful sense humor it managed to have an equal share of smart dialogue and great physical comedy( unlike these newer LT cartoons which just seem like talking heads and weak physical comedy).

It was way too talky, the animation was just awful, the voice work was excruciating, it tried to be smart, blending morality and "smart, snappy" comedy but ended up being preachy. Why dumb down the LT characters into kids with crappy animation and morality lessons mixed in when you could get the real thing with the real characters.

Meh, I love Tiny Toons and I always will, and no one could change my opinion ('cept maybe Freleng and Jones, I wonder what they thought of TTA?). Tokyo Movie Shinsa's animation on certain TTA episodes plus the opening were great, the original characters like Plucky and whatnot were all interesting, I like that it gave the LT & MM gang a hometown (Acme Acres). Tiny Toons wasn't perfect, as Kennedy and several other cheapo animation houses did some losusy animation that was truly awful at times, the show wasn't as original as the classics, and it did have a few preachy episodes (not many, though. Only about 5 out of around 100). But it knew it was P.C. and made fun of it's own P.C.-ness (in the primere episode, after Buster is shocked to find out his best friend is a girl, Babs says "welcome to the '90s".), plus it took a shot at Jeffrey Katzenburg:tweety: .

Kennedy Cartoons did cheap animation? I have seen their animation in What A Cartoon!-short Tales of Worm Paranoia and animation in that cartoon was GREAT! (Well, not like classic cartoons, but still better than animation in most of modern cartoons!)
