Since we're now closer to the release of Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 3 than we are to the release of LTGCv2, I thought I'd use this thread to list the cartoons we KNOW (or are very confident) will be included on the next set. I don't want to turn this thread into a "what do you hope is on volume 3", but more of a "what do you strongly suspect based on some evidence/insider information will be on v3" ;)

1. A Gruesome Twosome => Based on recent discussion by Steve Worth and Jerry Beck over at AH forums, we know that it is being restored and planned for release on v3. Hopefully they get Tweety's color right after all!

2. Horton Hears a Who => Originally stated that it would be on volume 2, I suspect that it will show up on volume 3.

3. Sinkin' In The Bathtub => It's listed on v2 packaging yet missing from the DVDs. Jerry mentioned it was removed at the "last minute" so I anticipate this will be on volume 3. I wonder why it was removed, maybe it fit better with the planned volume 3 contents?

A few more that I have strong suspicions about:

4. Robin Hood Daffy => an overplayed classic that the Amazon crowd is sorely missing

5. Hillbilly Hare => same as #4

Any other obvious ones?

Knighty Knight Bugs and Birds Anonymous were on that free DVD from Barnes & Noble, and although neither was restored, I think they may have been placed there to whet our apetite for them on the next collection.

Jerry Beck said FALLING HARE is planned for volume 3. ACROBATTY BUNNY may be on it as well.

Jerry Beck said FALLING HARE is planned for volume 3.

I'd just as soon they save it for Volume 30, and re-master it minus the DVNR.

It won't surprise me a bit if another character series (Foghorn Leghorn or Pepe Le Pew, perhaps?) features in the next set.

jerry beck said about two black and white cartoons to be included,i suppose they will be the daffy coc and porky's duck hunt but i strongly hope that porky pig's feat(a masterpiece)will be in there instead of the daffy doc

i'm pretty sure there will be a disc devoted exclusively to daffy duck and that we'll not have a bugs bunny disc(i presume they have to save the bugs toons for future releases or they will end them too early)

I think Falling Hare and Porky's Duck Hunt will be enough to make me plunk down the $50 it might cost.

PLEASE DEVOTE ONE OF THE DISCSS TO THE PORKY PIG BLACK AND WHITE CLASSICS.

I'll second that! Except for You Ought To Be In Pictures and Porky In Wackyland, I've never seen a B&W Porky cartoon without turning off the color on my TV set. I really want to see Porky Pig's Feat again!

I like to see alot of the bob clampet wb toon come to dvd set

from the late 30 to 46 when he left WB.

only toon i hope wont come this set till they totoly fix the problems is
Spaced Out Bunny, it needs series attention do to the quality problems of the filming done on the cartoon in the late 70's as well as the sound, tinny sound that gets worse when you play it on a stereo TV.

I doubt Warner Brothers has any intention of releasing :bosko: :buddy:. They may include a few as from the vault extras but I doubt they would include them as a real shorts.

They would have to grow some balls 1st. Right now they're to scared to release a Mammy cartoon.

I have the cartoon "Falling Hare" on a PD tape. It has no opening and closing.
