WOW! I'm a young 38 years of age today and still don't look my age, hee, hee...

Thanks to all my dear friends for the special Birthday greetings and so far, it's been a very good day and it's not even over yet.So far i've gotten some pretty great stuff, including a tradtional birthday present, money and a really cool looking Three Stooges t-shirt, a pair of tickets for a comedy club here in Manhattan and yes Larry! cartoons have been included for my birthday, as a very close and great friend ;) sent me a dvd of four good looking prints of some extremely rare cartoons from the early 30s and 40s and here are the titles.

"Abu Ben Boogie" -Swing Symphonies (1944)Lantz/Universal
"Sing Sisters Sing" -Screen Songs w The Sisters X (1933) Fleischer Studios/Paramount
"The Raven" -Fleischer special (1944) Flesicher/Paramount
"Farmer Al Falfa's Ape Girl" -Farmer Al Falfa (1932) Terrytoons/Educational Pictures

Regarding two of the cartoons on this dvd , "Sing Sisters Sing" contains some poltically incorrect gags when the Sisters X appear in blackface during their one of their msucial numbers and "Farmer Al Falfa's Ape Girl" is a raunchy pre-code cartoon and this print has the original Educational(opening & closing)titles, for which seeing an original 1930s Terrytoon titles are very hard to track down.

But I want to thank all the members here and you are like my second family and you guys are simply the best.

""The Raven" -Fleischer special (1944) Flesicher/Paramount"

THE RAVEN was 1940, not "44. Perhaps it was a "type-o" Nelson? Type- O? That's universal, isn't it? But we're talking Paramount. Anyway......:D

Belated birthday greetings Nelson -- I assume next year when you turn 39, you'll be getting a DVD with all the cartoons featuring Jack Benny charactures on it. ;)

Thanks gang for the wonderful greetings, as I had a wonderful time for my birthday and it still isn't over as my friends plan to celebrate my b-day this saturday.

Might I suggest that your friends and yourself visit the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art this Saturday? It may focus more on the print cartoon and comic book aspects of the art form, but they do have some art from the Fleischer and Van Buren Studios and a Windsor McCay video display.

I volunteer there on Saturdays. :tweety:

Awp! Better late than never from me, too!

I'm engaged in a deadline-busting project for my publisher, Nelson, so I have barely made it to the TTTP in the past couple days. Sorry to miss greeting you on your special one!
I'd planned to give you a cake, but I now know I shouldn't have made it rectangular and frosted it red. See, it just got stolen by this MOUSE, and I expect that any minute...
(ZIP—POW!)
...yes, that's JUST what I was expecting. That's one happy, happy Kat, but now you're cakeless. Sigh.
