You have just met somebody who's never heard of the Looney Tunes before and is not familiar with the characters. They think the best cartoon of all-time is that show where the Rugrats are teenagers. You need to save the day. You will be the first one to introduce them to the characters and cartoons. You have to make them a tape with only 15 cartoons. What cartoons would you choose to introduce someone to the LT cast of characters?
Each of the following characters must be represented at least once among the 15 cartoons:
Bugs :bugs1:
Daffy :daffy:
Porky
Tweety :tweety:
Sylvester :sylvester
Coyote :coyote:
Road Runner :beepbeep:
Pepe Le Pew :lepew:
Speedy Gonzales :speedy:
Foghorn Leghorn
Yosemite Sam :ysam:
Elmer Fudd
Have fun,
-Jon

Each of these cartoons says something about ithe way its director handles the characters. For instance, the ability to keep a cartoon interesting, despite the fact that it's basically the same joke over and over ("High-Diving Hare", "Guided Muscle", "Canned Feud", "For Scent-Imental Reasons", "Speedy Gonzales"), or its exploration of a character's psychology ("Bully for Bugs", "Duck Amuck", "Rabbit Fire", "One Froggy Evening", "Birds Anonymous"). Others are an example of the great artwork accomplished by the Warner crew ("The Great Piggy Bank Robbery", "What's Opera, Doc?"), and others are just great examples of the characters at their best, brightest, and funniest ("The Foghorn Leghorn", "A Wild Hare", "Porky Pig's Feat"). In addition to the characters mentioned above, I tried to get something from each big director (Jones, Freleng, McKimson, Avery, Clampett, and Tashlin).
