Pertaining to classic cartoons, I only saw two (both being Disney cartoons):
Clock Cleaners - The Great Mouse Detective (I think it was this film anyway)
Dude Duck - Ducktales the Movie
As for more modern cartoons:
The Prince and the Pauper - The Rescuers Down Under
Runaway Brain - A Kid in King Arthur's Court & George of the Jungle
Pluto Gets the Paper - My Favorite Martian (Boy did this film stink)
Chariots of Fur - Richie Rich

I too saw some cartoons (all LT/MMs) at an old movie theater in Keene, New Hampshire, but I can't remember what ones. Every year in October they hold a weekend pumpkin festival there and an elogant old theater runs shorts for free for the duration of the festival. They seem to vary the program every year. Philo & Gunge, is this where you saw them?
Other than that I remember seeing Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2th Century as a kid, I believe before The Empire Strikes Back.

Yes, I wish there were more like that around. The curtains and balconies really add elegance to the movie-going experience.

Did one theater show TOKIO JOKIO before the Pokemon movie? I thought I remembered someone on the old TTTP board mentioning this.

Just the notion of that possibility is the funniest thing I've heard all day.
Did one theater show TOKIO JOKIO before the Pokemon movie? I thought I remembered someone on the old TTTP board mentioning this. Yes, I searched on the forum and it was Thad who orignally said that:
Reminds me of the time how a local theatre (which went out of business) that used to run cartoons before the movie got in trouble for playing "Tokio Jokio" before one of the Pokemon movies... http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/anime.gifhttp://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, that isn't all that funny after all...it's actually a little insulting.
