I'm uncertain if Charlie is a full-grown rooster in NEW FUNNIES #80, but he is definitley one in #81, judging by the cover (http://funnies.goldenagecartoons.com/cover/newfunnies/nf081.jpg).

you know what would be great?that the next story posted would be the famous porky pig story written by carl barks(porky of the mounties would have to be the title if i'm right)
