This month, I posted a later "Blue Racer" cartoon from 1973 called "Aches and Snakes".

This should be called "not-really-DFE cartoon of the month" because the cartoon was made not at DePatie-Freleng (although John Dunn did the story there) but rather, at Filmgraphics, an Australlian animation studio owned by David Deneen, who directed the short. Deneen is not well known in USA, although he is pretty famous animator in Australlia.

In this short, Blue Racer and Crazylegs Crane (who is established as a crane here) battle of the for a bee. This I think is the only time we see Crane's wife (I don't think she appeared as a mother for the 1978 series with the crane)

Check it out. (http://dfe.goldenagecartoons.com/)

Please write your comment about the short here, if any.
