With the state of Disney's animated films these days, how could you blame Pixar / Apple CEO Steve Jobs about his current leaning against renewing the Pixar partnership with Disney? Here I'll post a little excerpt from an article on VARIETY (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117917767?categoryid=13&cs=1) (registration required). I'm surprised Eisner has the nerve to say what he does:
Animation powerhouse's topper said repeatedly in an investor conference call that it was "likely we will not forge a new relationship with Disney beyond our current deal." Mouse House prexy and possible future CEO Bob Iger also has said such a renewal is doubtful.
Prospect of a deal wasn't helped when Michael Eisner recently said the artistry on some of the Disney-Pixar pics was "pretty pathetic."
