Felix The Cat 1958 1959

I just recieved my own DVD copy of"Felix The Cat Collector's Edition/10 Digitally Remastered Episodes_1958-1959",which I had ordered from Amazon.Ca,this week.Though I've only viewed the first four cartoons so far,it was worth the order.I've never seen this series before.I can hear Jack Mercer's voice from the Professor.The first four episodes have the Professor attempting to steal the magic bag from Felix.I hope I eventually see Poindexter,Rock Bottom and Master Cylinder.I've enjoyed this DVD so far,and I do recommend it.:felix:

I have fond childhood memories of seeing these cartoons on TV. They were made by Joe Oriolo who had worked at Famous Studios. They were distributed by Trans-Lux.

Actually, the FELIX Tv episodes were 1959-1960, according to the 'grapevine."
Joe Oriolo was a Fleischer animator before Famous, and seemed to come into the position of animator in the late 30s. He is credited in both Fleischer features as an animator as well as many of the later Fleischer short cartoons, including POPEYE and SUPERMAN.:felix:
