I have both Gold Collections and I heard the 1930 short Sinkin' in the Bathtub" with Bosko is on it. I have watched both of them completly. I don't know if its an Easter egg or if I just missed it. Does anybody know if it is on it?

It's not on them.

SINKIN' IN THE BATHTUB was originally planned to be on the set as an extra, but was pulled out at the last minute. I believe this was because there wasn't enough room on the disc.:bosko:

Yeah. I was wondering about that too. It did say on the cover that 'Sinkin'' would be on it, but it wasn't. I thought it was just my copy of the DVD that had that problem.

Listed as an extra, would it have necessarily been restored?

Listed as an extra, would it have necessarily been restored? Most likely not, since the other "from the vault" extras have not been restored.

In a way, I am kinda glad then that it was not included that way. My opinion is that if a production in question was an actual theatrical short, then it should be given the same treatment and attention as the others. Classifying "Sinkin' in the Bathtub," or rather any of the released Bosko shorts, as an extra and not as an actual short just seems a bit lazy to me.

Not just lazy, but not very nice either. If some of the racy shorts are being included as extras, in what condition will they be in? Will they look any better than our PD copies? If not, then there's little point in buying the DVD set just for those cartoons.
