"Puss Gets the Boot" on TCM

I just wanted to report that at 7:50 eastern time tonight, the redubbed version of "Puss Gets the Boot" aired on TCM in the 31 days of Oscar tribute.

I find it fascinating that TCM will air blackface movies, yet they won't air the original version of Puss Gets the Boot.

It seems that for the time being, TCM is simply taking whatever versions it gets directly from Cartoon Network. If we can just continue to point this out patiently and calmly, perhaps TCM will eventually start to do the added legwork needed to eliminate that practice. :tomcat: :jerry: :twoshoes:

Unfortunately, they do not release them uncensored on DVD. :( :( :( :(
