Joe Dante, being a Looney Tunes, has had his films gain a cult following with some of us. So what Joe Dante-directed film is your favorite?

Didn't he direct a portion of "Twilight Zone: The Movie" as well?

Didn't he direct a portion of "Twilight Zone: The Movie" as well?Yes, but I didn't count that since he only directed abotu 23 minutes of a 120 minute film. I guess it could fall under "Other".

Anyway, I voted for Gremlins. Why? It didn't fully depend on special effects and gore to be good, like some other horror movies today (cough, cough, Hide and Seek, cough, cough), it depended on humor. I know G2 has more of a Looney Tunes feel and I love that one, too but this one just kept be scared and laughing (it's also a rare time to see Disney material in a WB movie :D ).

I voted for the first Gremlins as well. He hasn't topped that one yet. (But also keep in mind that LT:BIA was NOT his fault. The people currently in charge of WB animation (the one's that ruined LT:BIA in the first place) have got to go! )

I'm surprised to be the only one to vote for the Howling! Gremlins has my 2nd place vote. This is not to knock Looney Tunes BIA at all!

Didn't he direct a portion of "Twilight Zone: The Movie" as well? He directed the third segment, the remake of 'It's a Good Life', which was one of the 2 segments that I liked. In it, a girl gets trapped in a cartoon, and a Tasmanian Devilesque creature splits a TV in half accompanied by some Looney Tunes sound effects.
