The FINAL FATE of the H.B. Studios?

And I STILL think that maybe...just MAYBE....the studios can have exhibits, pictures, & facsimile animation facilities installed & become a HISTORICAL MUSEUM just like MOTOWN in Detroit!:D

In the "Powerpuff Girls" episode, "Fallen Arches", the old Hanna-Barbera studio at 3400 Cahuenga Blvd. made an appearance as the Polky Folks retirment home, and the retired superheroes, Captian Rightous, and Lefty, were charicatures of Bill Hanna, and Joe Barbera.

As for the studio itself, it hasen't been very active since most of the artists (Particularly Genndy Tartakovsky, and Craig McCracken) have all moved to a new facility in Burbank, and is now Cartoon Network Studios. Currently, Warner Bros. has been whoring out Scooby-Doo with a crappy new series, and crappy video movies. So theoretically, Hanna-Barbera exists on paper.

C.N. does have it's new H.Q. in Burbank (Near, if not IN the WARNER BROS. lot..)


The H-B building, however, has been VACANT since 1998...after WARNER transferred Bill, Joe, Star Wirth, The Family Iverson, William DeBoer, Allison Leopold, and all the other H-B stalwarts to offices in the Burbank facilities..

The campaign to SAVE the 3400 Cahuenga H.Q. from the wrecking ball was successful.............but I was HOPIN' that mebbe they could CONSIDER converting the studio into a MUSEUM .. with all kinds of photos, exhibits, displays (Of, say, the Oscars [Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.] & Emmys that Bill & Joe won), replicas of the drawing facilities..and even a GUIDED TOUR!.......like they did with MOTOWN'S Original Studio in Detroit!;)

If there IS a plan to SPEARHEAD such a project.....COUNT me IN as a CONTRIBUTOR!:)

I saw the "PPG" episode in question....and I HOWLED my CAN off over the footage of that "Pokey Folks Home":D

I hafta look at the episode AGAIN to catch the caracitures of Bill & Joe, though (I was on phone talkin' to a gal pal in Sweden & was only half-focused on the show.......an' NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO SEE IT SINCE! :( )
