Steve Stanchfield and Thunderbean Animation have recently put out their fourth DVD compilation - "Attack of the 30's Characters". This is actually a revamp of an earlier compilation from Snappy Video, a company that Stanchfield worked for in the early 1990's. It includes 16 shorts from all the major American animation studios of the 1930's:

"Congo Jazz" (Warner Bros.)
"Wonderland" (Lantz)
"Bars and Stripes" (Mintz)
"Lady, Play Your Mandolin!" (Warner Bros.)
"Noah's Outing" (Terrytoons)
"In The Bag" (Van Beuren)
"Is My Palm Read?" (Fleischer)
"Funny Face" (Iwerks)
"The Mad Doctor" (Disney)
"Jolly Good Felons" (Van Beuren)
"Little Black Sambo" (Iwerks)
"Merry Kittens" (Van Beuren)
"The Beach Combers" (Lantz)
"To Spring" (MGM)
"Porky's Railroad" (Warner Bros.)
"The Paneless Window Washer" (Fleischer)
Also includes the original trailer of the first Fleischer animated feature, "Gulliver's Travels"

All of the shorts are mastered from some of the finest 16mm and 35mm prints out there.

Yep, and it's the "uncensored" original version as well!:rabbit:

Even though these shorts are public domain, many of them have never been released on DVD or video before.

Why wouldn't it be? It's mastered from an original 35mm print.

The third is "Felix the Cat and Other Rarities" which is an odds & sods sort of collection of animation films from the 1920's. Steve hasn't put this one up for sale on Amazon yet. It's an interesting collection, but not quite up to the production standards of the other two. You can find it on E-bay occasionally, but last I heard Steve was looking to make an official release with better film transfers at some future date. The current version may not be available much longer.....

Hope this helps!
