I don't see a thread for a catch-all 2004 wrap-up, so I thought I'd start one.

Here's my two cents' worth:

*LTGC2 - Won a copy thanks to www.cartoonbrew.com (http://www.cartoonbrew.com/). Thanks, Jerry!

*Dollar Store Videos - Who'da thought you could get so much for a dollar? The Van Bueren Tom & Jerry Disc really grabbed my attention.

*Cartoon DVD Entrepreneurs - 2004 saw quite a few interesting collections coming out from small, one person operations! THUNDERBEAN's Popeye, Cubby & Felix compilations; reelclassicdvd.com' s Felix collection; Inkwellimages's KRAZY KAT documentary. Let's hope this trend continues in 2005!

That's just a few and I realise they're very DVD-centric. Let's hear some more!

Oh, and Happy New Year, GAC-ites everywhere!http://www.goldenagecartoons.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Well this highlight is sort-of like a blooper, but hey, it relates to a certain DVD release:

The edited cartoons on Tom and Jerry: Spotlight Collection. That and also there was some edited moments in LTGC2 (like in Baby Bottleneck when the mama pig says, "Ah ah ah! Don't don't that dial!"). So there is my contrib

The release of GCII.

A lot of classic South Park episodes.

This has more to do with puppetry, but the release of "team America."

Disney Treasures

the dollar store collections

Popeye's 75th Anniversary set by VCI

and a couple of those infamous grey market items I cannot further describe (except that they are triple good under the current toon circumstances!)

George W. as the "Gimme a Famous Studios PD disc or tape with more titles I don't remember and a cold draft beer* anytime!" Geezil

(* read "root beer" there if you're under 21; otherwise, enjoy responsibly) ;)

Well, I got my first taste of 16mm Official Films Felix prints, I've always loved those soundtracks and I'm glad to know that I'm slowly acquiring some titles on film.
This year, I acquired my first feature length 16mm film- a slightly faded print of Dumbo from a friend...garwsh, the collection's really growing!

Cartoon wise, this year has been a blast....let's toast to good friends, a wonderful hobby, and celluloid!:D

You're right...we need peace in the world- let's start out by being kinder to those around us in our everyday lives. We must start somewhere.
