"Amongst" is the superlative of "among"....;)

I spotted a real roadrunner while on a dirt road on my job today! I'd never seen any before in Muskogee county, only in Adair county, about 40 miles away. Anyway, the point is I'll bet I live within ten miles of more real examples that aren't in a zoo of animals seen in LT/MM's than anybody else.

Here's my list:
Mice
Dogs - duh.
Cats - ditto.
Coyotes
Roadrunners - as of today.
Skunks
Bears - a black bear was shot within one mile of my house last month!
Foxes
Ducks
Geese
Buzzards - Turkey Vultures & Black Vultures
Whitetail deer - common enough to be considered pests here!
Mockingbirds
Pigs
Cattle
Yellow warbler - wild version of the "Tweety Bird"
Beavers
Crows
Ostriches
Goats
Turtles
Ants - Technically part of the animal kingdom
Fleas - ditto.
AND ESPECIALLY RABBITS!

Well, let's see... I live close to:

- cats and dogs (obviously)
- rabbits
- ants
- turtles
and my father's dissected roadrunner.
