according to bcdb.com there are 10 shorts with a wolf but i'm not sure if they are different. there seems to be 3 different ones. i think there are 7 with the "wolf" because the others mention a "southern wolf" or "slick the wolf" unless they are all the same, can't remember it's been a while since i've seen them

Blitz Wolf
Dumb-Hounded (Droopy)
Red Hot Riding Hood
One Ham’s Family
The Shooting of Dan McGoo (Droopy)
Swing Shift Cinderella
Wild and Wolfy (Droopy)
Northwest Hounded Police (Droopy)
Senor Droopy (Droopy)
Little Rural Riding Hood
The rest of Avery's "wolf" cartoons featured the Southern wold character, whom I would consider a different character altogether. There was also a cameo in "Lonesome Lenny". I *THINK* that's all of them.
Also, the name "Slick" came from a later series of Filmation Droopy TV cartoons, and was retained in Hanna-Barbera's "Tom and Jerry Kids". Not sure if that's still considered his official name.

There was one more Droopy cartoon, the only one directed by Dick Lundy while Tex Avery was on temporary leave from MGM, Caballero Droopy.

Probably not. I think the T&J Kids series called him "McWolf".

I think the Daws Butler one was only in four cartoons.

"Billy Boy", "3 Little Pups"," Blackboard Jumble", and "Sheep Wrecked" are the only 4 I can think of. The first 2 were Avery's, the second two were directed by Michael Lah.

HOMESTEADER is a bit ambiguous (wolf character doesn't act much like either the earlier "slick" or the later Southern), but DRAG-ALONG seems pretty certain to me.

It's almost as if those cartoons featured the same wolf, but neither the "Slick" nor "Southern" version. The "Homesteader Droopy" wolf is Texas cattle baron complete with a big red mustache. The one in "Drag-Along Droopy" is very similar, sans mustache. Both have the same gruff, Texan voice too.

And let's not forget Deputy Droopy either, another ambiguous one.

Thanks, everybody for your help I have allways liked that original "Bltiz Wolf" is wolf character but I think we have uncovered the whole wolf family. :D

And he evolved from a South Carolina wolf to a North Carolina hound-dog, namely Hulkleberry! Now I know Huck was based on Andy Griffith pre-Andy Taylor and in Little Rural Riding Hood the wolf was Ronald Coleman and The Great Gildersleeve in One Ham's Family but I don't know about the wolf introduced in Billy Boy Boy Boy Bo..Erhem...
Also haven't seen it in awhile but could he be Ricardo Montelban in Cabelero Droopy?

Maybe this was a consequence of the Wolf's unspecified character, as we don't even know if he had a real name. It seemed like Tex Avery ran out of material for the character after about 1946, but was still interested in using wolf antagonists. It didn't help that the Wolf's voice artist, Frank Graham died in 1950.
