The very first season of Super Friends with Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Robin, Aquaman, Wendy, Marvin and Wonderdog is coming to DVD in January. This show still holds a special place in my heart and it is still my favorite incarnation of the show. Here's a link to the story:

Yahoo! Thanks for the info on this! I'll be glad when they get them all released; we're getting closer.

I watched a disk full last year and found them pretty awful, to the point that I never watched the second disk.
Try Justice League. Some brilliant stories and great characterisation. Season 3, it became Justice League Unlimited and while good, it didn't match the first two seasons.

I prefer to watch good theatrical stuff myself. :daffy:

While we're on the subject of this, they still need to work on getting to DVD The World's Greatest Super Friends (1979-80) and The Super Friends Hour (1980-82).
The Super Friends Lost Episodes (spring 1983), which never initially aired in the U.S. (these segments only started to air in full in the U.S. when under the umbrella series of The Superman/Batman Adventures in 1995 on USA Network, just after that station's Cartoon Express block, beloved of many longtime Hanna-Barbera fanatics, had made its last run), has been released on DVD this past August 11th.
One of these eight episodes (three segments per episode, for a total of 24 segments) was first seen in the U.S. when ABC had The Legendary Super Powers Show on its 1984-85 Saturday morning lineup. However, ABC had ran a Super Friends anthology show during the 1982-83 season titled The Best of the Super Friends, which, although it had consisted of half-hour segments from all previous seasons, contained none of the 1980-82 7-minute segments. Not content with competition against syndicated programming, ABC canceled the Super Friends for its 1983-84 Saturday morning lineup.
