When Eddie Selzer passed away, he gave away the Oscars to some of the directors and the other creative talents. I know Friz Freleng got the one for "Tweetie Pie", and Mel Blanc got the one for "Birds Anonymous", but who got the other Oscars?
Also, when Fred Quimby passed away, did Hanna and Barbera, and any other Tom & Jerry people receive the Oscars?
Jones was willed the two Oscars for the shorts he directed that won (For Scent-imental Reasons, So Much for So Little). I would assume Freleng was also willed the two for Speedy Gonzales and Knighty Knight Bugs.

Bill and Joe were provided with the statues years after Quimby passed away. This was more so the result of their successes in television and a latter day recognition by the Academy as I was told by Joe. Their first award they actually received was their Emmy for THE HUCKLEBERRY HOUND SHOW.

Heh, more evidence that Eddie Selzar was actually a nicer person than Quimby.
So when Quimby died, where did the oscars initially go before they were given to Hanna and Barbara? Back to the Acedemy?

I believe they went to MGM.

So, where would those Oscars be now? With the directors heirs, I'm assuming.

Noel Blanc has the "Birds Anonymous" Oscar. He displays it on one of the LTGC documentaries.
