Haven't seen this posted here yet, but in case there are any Disney and/or Mickey Mouse fans out there - the book The Mickey Mouse Treasures has been "remaindered" at Barnes & Nobles locations.

I picked up a copy here in Southwest Florida, but I also saw it in a B&N in Wisconsin as well.

The book retailed at $60, but is being remaindered at $15 so I'm guessing its available chain-wide.

It is one of those books that contains reproductions of rare collectibles. For example, you get a reproduction of one of the pages from the classic Mickey Mouse Pop-Up Books, a flip book, some vintage Mickey cutouts, souvenir program from Fantasia, etc.

If you are a fan of the Mouse (and I am), this was well worth the low price.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, I have it and it's a good book. It's the third book of the Disney Treasure books. I do hope there are plans to do a Donald Duck one, especially since this year marks the duck's 75th birthday.

I picked that up at B&N in July for $15 and it is indeed a treasure. On one of the pages, I believe it was The MOUSE THAT NEVER WAS, there is a copy of a letter from Elanor Roosevelt in which she suggests a cartoon short for Walt to make.

I'd be interested in seeing a Popeye or a Looney Tunes version of that book too.

There is something similar for a Popeye book, but it only has B&W photos, and only a chapter of the book covers Popeye memorabilia. The book I am referring to is Fred Grandinetti's book. It was a strange coincidence how I managed to find it. I was in B&N looking at books in their "Performing Arts" section, and nearby in the "Trivia" section, the Popeye book was in plain sight on the top shelf. The strange thing was, I had planned on buying the book eventually, but on that particular day I wasn't even looking for it. It is a little pricy, but it really is a book that everyone should have if they are a Popeye enthusiast.

As for the Mickey book, it looks like I'll be stopping by B&N this weekend to see if I can get a copy.

Fred Grandinetti also wrote a book called Popeye: The Collectible, which was published in 1991, though it only covered items from the 1950's and later. It was a large format softcover, also all B&W photos. And it wasn't completely comprehensive because at the very least the Transogram "Adventures of Popeye" board game from 1957 was never mentioned.

I have the book! It's very informational and full of reproductions!
