Last night, I popped in my Full-Screen version in the DVD player, and there I was. "Oh, this movie will be crap." Over, and over, but actually, it was pretty good. THe ending seemed a little anti-climatic as Duck Dodgers saved the world from the Blue Monkey Sattelite ray. I counted like 33 characters or so:

Bugs
Daffy
Porky
Speedy
Shaggy and Scooby made a cameo appearance in a cafe
Michigan J. Frog
Ralph Wolf getting beat by Sam Sheepdog
Granny, Tweety, and Sylvester
Owl Jolson in a "I Love to Singa" clip
Yosemite Sam
Foghorn Leghorn
That guy from "Super Rabbit"
Nasty Canasta
That Dog from "Hare Ribbin'"
Barnyard Dawg
Raplhie and Elfie
Wile E. Coyote
Marvin Martian
Elmer Fudd
Pepe Le Pew
Three Bears
Beaky Buzzard
Peter Lorre Scientist
Tazmanian Devil
Martian from that "Just Add WAter" thing
and Charlie Dog

Other references:
(For Wrestling fans) Goldberg played as a heel, very unlike Goldberg. When this movie was released, Goldberg was WWE World Heavyweight Champion on RAW
Psycho Rip-off as Bugs has a fake death with Hershey's Chocolate
There's a Batman reference and car
Mummy mentions
Jeff Gordon has a cameo with a 24 Monte Carlo. The car is not his real race car from 2003, it is a 1995-1999 heavily Monte Carlo
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 (not sold in USA)
Out of gas joke from "Falling Hare"
Wal-Mart mirage turns into product placement
Left Turn at Albuquerque
Michael Jordan makes a cameo
and finally: Star Wars parody.

The plot: Bugs and Pals (Brendan Fraser, who is son of Damien Drake, and Jenna Elfman who has to find Daffy by Monday) go on to find the Blue Monkey diamond before Steve Martin and his evil gang do. Robin Williams was probably more suited for the role, because he is wonderfully looney.

I like the movie as well. Another great moment is Porky Pig and Speedy Gonzales talking about what a pain it is being politically incorrect.

My only actual gripe (and i've said it a million times before): I still hated Sam and Pepe's voice. Thank God Pepe only had one line, but Sam had a lot. And, no offense to Jeff Bennet, but he stinks worse than Frank Gorshin! Whoever voiced :ysam: and :lepew: in the LT: BIA video game did a better job (it was probably either Joe Alaskey or Marice LaMarche).

Speaking of Joe Alaskey, I wonder if he's aware that Termite Terrace moved to GAC.

It never ceases to amaze me how "Space Jam" was more successful than "Back In Action"! This is such an underrated movie, and Warner Bros. is to blame for not giving it the promotion it needs to get off the ground. The plot certianly isn't the best in the world, but the gags make it worth your time, and overall, it puts "Space Jam" to shame.:bugs1:

The DVD leaves alot to be desired in the extras department because the "making of" featuretts were very bad, and had some horrible prduction values with the way they integrated Bugs, and Daffy into the live action backgrounds. Resulting in very sloppy looking animation that makes an episode of "Space Ghost Coast To Coast" look like "Batman: TAS". I' would've settled for the rest of Larry Doyle's unreleased Looney Tune shorts as DVD extras instead. :shame:

I'd strongly recommend you to see the widescreen version...

All of the effect scenes (most of the movie) were shot with Panavision anamorphic lenses, so you're losing about 40% of the frame. A lot of times, the animators put tons of little movements all over that you'd miss without letterboxing.

What a funny movie, though! If Warner Bros. actually marketed it right, it would have been a hit. Hopefully, like The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, it'll gain a fan following.

People, WB wanted it to fail! I have everybody's same opinions. If this movie was released in a season where not many good movies were out then it would have likely done well. I still don't see what people saw in "The Cat In The Hat".

I was refering to the "making of" featuretts. Not the film itself.

I don't know what people see in 'Scooby-Doo", either.

Actually, I think McCart was talking to me, not you if that ceases any confusion

Besides, I'll consider getting the Widescreen version someday. Maybe a trip to Gamestop will say my day.

I'm actually watching this right now. Today I whent to Blockbuster to rent "The Cider House Rules", and they had a deal going where you could buy any 2 DVD's (used) for 20, and my dad really wanted to get LT:BIA, and they happened to have "The Cider House Rules" for sale as well, so we bought them both. I must say, it's better than I remembered it, but still nothing great-oh God I just heard:lepew: , my opinion dropped a few notches...anyway, the extra's look interesting, I can't wait to check them out. I still wouldn't have paid more than $10, but I can definatly see that in this one they're trying to stick to the classic characterizations and formulas more, whereas in "Space Jam" the goal seemed to be to "modernize" the toons as much as possible, which in turn, makes "Space Jam" already seem quite dated. I guess when you watch something for the second time only remembering the bad, the good stuff really stands out, so yeah I'm liking this alot more now.

They're among the many Looney dogs playing poker in Yosemite Sam's casino.

Even though I've heard mixed reviews about this movie, I still can't bring myself to watch it. Of course, I never saw Space Jam either, but from what I hear I ain't missin' much.

I saw "Space Jam", and enjoyed it for what it was. Looking back on it, it's not a great showcase of the Looney Tunes crew because most of them are pretty much out of character. Especially Bugs. When confronted by the aliens, Bugs would outfox them with one hand tied behind his back. Here, he starts acting like Roger Rabbit when the cards are stacked against him. Bugs is suppose to be the exact oppisite of Roger Rabbit. The fact that this movie was essentially a starring vehicle for Jordon didn't help much either.

I saw Space Jam also when it first came on to (old-school VHS), and it was OK.

I actually really like "Space Jam", but more for the good memories I associate with it than the quality of the movie itself. In all truth, after watching "LT:BIA" for a second time, I really do think it's a better movie better than "Space Jam".
