-- The Christmas decorations are up.

-- Two new clips, both are from 1964 Sid Marcus cartoons: "Skinfolks" with Woody and his rich Uncle Scrooge (no, not that :scrooge: ) and "Lighthouse Keeping Blues" with Chilly Willy and Smedley.

Great clips!

You know, it makes me wish Sid Marcus stayed at Lantz longer. Maybe he would've had a chance to direct "Beary Family" cartoons, and I guess it would have been better if he directed them instead of Paul Smith (although Beary cartoons with Goose Beary was pretty good)

Yeah, that was my little tribute to Marcus. I think most of his cartoons are quite funny. I thought it'd be fun to showcase some of his lesser known cartoons.

(Sharp-eyed Lantz fans might recognize the animation of Woody playing his uncle's piano was later reused in the "Spook-a-Nanny" Halloween special cartoon.)

Yep.

Nice seeing a clip from "Skinfolk". I remember watching that one when CN Japan aired it. I pretty much remember alot of Lantz stuff CN Japan aired few years ago. Unfortunatly, 60% of what they aired were Paul Smith's stuff (I do remember good amount of Marcus, Hannah, and Lovy though.)

BTW, does Paul Smith always screw up with the character's size? In "Window Pains", Beary's house is bigger than Charlie, yet, in one scene, the house somehow shrunk and Charlie and Junior looked bigger.

Another question. Which scenes did Les Kline animated? Users here made fun of his style so much, I decided to check it out myself. I think I found it in "Phoney Express" though, but not too sure.

Another good example is "After the Ball", where Woody is small enough to live inside a bowling ball!

As for "Window Pains", it makes you wonder just how many windows the Bearys have anyway... :p

Charlie counted and said there are 22 windows in that cartoon, but may seem weird to some people.

Another thing wrong in WINDOW PAINS. In the end, Bessie yells at Charlie saying he broke EVERY windows in the house except one in the 3rd floor. However, just few seconds earlier, in the same setting, there was still few windows left which Charlie was washing. Doesn't that sound weird? Also, doesn't Paul Smith at least avoid continuity errors?
