Does anyone know if the Tex Avery cartoon "Magical Maestro" is uncut on the DVD Belle Of New York? None of the reviews I've read seem to indicate whether or not it's the uncut version or not.

Do they cut both the asian man and the black man? Or just the black man?

If they used the old CN print, both

OK. Thanks for the responses, everyone. Are there any overseas DVDs available that have this cartoon uncut? There's an uncut copy on Youtube, so I'm wondering what the source could have been.

Actually, that DVD does have the uncut version. I just recently Netflix'd it, and as always, the cartoon was the first thing I watched.

They used an uncut transfer? Must have been a mistake!

As always, they are just using whatever transfer is the easiest to access. It looks like they were using the same transfers that appeared on the Tex Avery set released in France. The only cartoons on that set with edits are "Blitz Wolf", "Happy Go Nutty", "Henpecked Hoboes", "Lucky Ducky", "Garden Gopher", "Droopy's Good Deed" and "Daredevil Droopy".
Among the cartoons that are bonuses on Region 1 DVDs, the transfers of "Car of Tomorrow", "Bad Luck Blackie", and "Little Tinker" are all uncut. The transfers of "Happy Go Nutty", "Henpecked Hoboes" and "Garden Gopher" all have the same edits as the TV versions.

The French Tex Avery DVD set has that cartoon uncut (but there are a handful in that set that weren't so lucky).
