I love the one-armed reaction of the sailor when he sees the guy on the motorcycle.... Definitley a Segar/Fleischer inspired Popeye here...

I was destroyed (and that, in Geezil-ese, is the highest of praise for comedy)!
More, he moved and sounded like the Segar/Fleischer Popeye, yet (IMO) looked far more like the Sagendorf model remembered fondly here from the 1950s/very early 60s Dell comics. A fine hybrid.
Now, I'll still be waiting to see the sequel in which Popeye and Luffy (from One Piece) face off and the rubbery punches really fly! :D

I loved it. It also proves that classic character like Popeye is better than some crappy anime that has the same plot reused over and over.

It also proves that classic character like Popeye is better than some crappy anime that has the same plot reused over and over.Yea,anime also tends to re-use some cel motions and such,lip syncing stinks.And to me,the only good anime is Speed Racer and Sergeant Keroro,but lets get back on topic.
