I have only had Boomerang for a couple of months now, and I have noticed that their scheduling of Popeye the last few months has mostly been the redrawns. Over the last few weeks, there have been some shows of color Famous shorts, but I have noticed they are all the same ones I had taped last month. It seems to be set up so that there is nothing random with their scheduling. Boomerang seems to have packaged together half-hour showings usually consisting of 4 Popeye shorts each. For example, tonight's showing had "Cops is Tops", "Insect to Injury", "Popeye and the Pirates" and "The Anvil Chorus Girl", and just last month they had shown those same 4 in one show in that same exact order. Now, I look at the schedule for next week and see that they are going through the same cycle of "episodes" for the third time in a row. Does Boomerang plan their schedule so that they will show these in cycles like this? To me, it would make more sense to have just one big cycle where you show all the Popeye shorts that are permitted to air and then start over again. Hopefully after they get through this cycle of the redrawns they will go back to showing the color Famous shorts on a more regular basis because there are a ton of them I have not taped yet.
