This year's April Fool's Day was the April Fooliest. Like the creepy twins from the movie The Shining, I wish this day could go on forever and ever and ever...

The Daffy/Speedy festivities were fun, but tomorrow I'll be glad to be back to normal :D

A little, yeah. Most of the joke threads I've seen are kinda predictable and lame, and it kinda sucks that I have to wait until tomorrow to have a legitimate discussion about anything.

Wut is thiis Apral Folls day thingie?

(Seriously, this was so much fun! I remember reading the April Fool's day thread changes back when the Termite Terrace Trading Post was a part of Toon Zone, and cracking up! For those of you who don't know, I was lurking ever since the Autumn of 2004, when I was 10, just when G.A.C. was formed.)

It was a lot of fun this morning. But now, it's getting kind of old. Particularly with the fact that we've had no less than 20 april fools day posts today (three of which were by yours truly).

Why do I somehow smell a conspiracy with this April Fools Day theme? ;)

I thought that Chuck Jones Tom and Jerry DVD was an April Fool's joke!

May be next year, we should have "The Redrawn Porky Trading Post."

Normally, there are polls on the best april fools jokes, but this time I think we'll need a few different polls. How many april fools threads had nothing to do with Daffy and Speedy?

Yeah, acting like a noob was fun and all, and if I had my way, we keep going til everyone is sick of it, but yeah, it's all fun and games until people actually miss the intelligent reasons they're here.

Besides, I'm more sad of all the mayhem over at Toon Zone and Sonic Retro that'll probably be gone though.

But in the plus side, I like the "Tain't Funny McGee" up there! Hope you keep that!

I can tell you one thing. I didn't like the part when they made fun of us members with disabilities. That was a low blow.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but, doesn't April Fool's Day usually end at 12:00 pm NOON anyway?

Yeah it was fun at first, but by late afternoon I was ready for it to be over.

Love the "600 Cartoons" banner! You need to keep that one.

By the way, the "Daffy's Diner Garbageman" Hit Or Miss was an April Fool's Day joke. The "real" Hit Or Miss Of The Month will be posted tomorrow.

Warning: It WILL be WB related. Although next month, I have a non-WB character planned.

Well, one hour later and the April Fools aftermath is officially cleaned up.

Remind me never to do this again. :shame:

I see you kept the D/S wallpaper, though.

You and Matthew may also want to change your avatars now, since the joke is officially over.

Well, that was fun.

Anyone visited ToonZone today (assuming that you managed to actually get in)? Where we pretended that it was 1999?

I had my username changed to "NewToonsSux" for this day, BTW. You know, I knew there would be advantages on being a TZ mod :D

I liked the april fools day, at first I forgot what day it was so that I thought we all broke under the strain of oppression against Daffy and Speedy cartoon lovers. I wish someone replied to my redrawn thread though...:(

I think next year we should do another "This is Awful News" thread storyline.

Yes. The whole thing is unfunny, retarded, and flooded the entire forum. Please delete the threads, and next year please make it stop.

All the joke threads have been banished to the "Looney Bin" board. We shall never speak of this day again... :o

Thanks, Jon. Now I can go more easily read polls and stuff with OT in the subject line. ;)

I was afraid to post on my blog yesterday fearing people would think the post was some kind of elaborate joke, which it isn't. But I did anyway.

Wow, I had never been to your blog before. Great stuff! (If you are into vintage H-B, that is). I'll have to remember to bookmark it.

April Fool's Day forums are fun, but they are something to be limited to just that: April Fool's Day. After that, it's back to normal. We at TTTP have had a tradition of April Fool's threads:

2002: Gary Coleman Trading Post
2003: Baby Looney Tunes Trading Post
2004: Tweety Trading Post
2005-2008: Nothing special, but we added our own little AF threads
2009: Daffy/Speedy Trading Post

I wonder what 2010 will bring for us:p

Like I said, it should be the Redrawn Porky Trading Post. Or how about the Loonatics Trading Post?

Incidentally, can anyone tell me where that "Tain't Funny McGee" card that was briefly plastered upon the Daffy/Speedy Trading Post header came from?

Incidentally, can anyone tell me where that "Tain't Funny McGee" card that was briefly plastered upon the Daffy/Speedy Trading Post header came from?

It's from the April Fools Day scene in the 1940 Merrie Melodies cartoon "Holiday Highlights." The narrator says, "And now for April Fools Day. Here..." it's just now a white screen. The narrator says "April fool! Fooled ya, fooled ya, there ain't no picture!" and laughs like an idiot, then that title card comes up

That whole Daffy-Speedy thing was pretty funny. Must've been a lot of work, so cheers to all the mods & admins involved!

Thanks for the laffs, GAC-ers!

Rats! It's a shame that none of us thought to post a thread on a relevant subject and list it as "Off-topic". That would have been funny for april fools day.

Reminds me of my favorite april fools thread "Merrie Melodies discussion" i believe, and then you click on the thread and you get a picture of a Looney Tunes title card!

Thanx, I thought it came from somewhere...

"Gary Coleman Trading Post" was the best one because it was so completely random, and it was also the first time we ever did an April Fool joke. People actually bought it for a minute!

Still, we hadn't done it for a few years and decided to do an AF thing again...and it made us realize why we'd stopped in the first place!:shame:
