Does any of you have a past experience (pleasant or otherwise) that for some reason seems to be connected with a cartoon?
For some reason I always remember a certain visit to my grandparents whenever I watch "A Corny Concerto", and when I watch "Russian Rhapsody" I always think of a time when I won an art contest.

Every time I watch "Hare-Way to the Stars", I'm reminded of the time in about 1994 or so when I tried to make a comic version of it. I couldn't draw too well back then, but that didn't stop me. Five years later, I tried it again with "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century" (I seemed to like illustrating Marvin the Martian cartoons). Maybe I oughta do another one sometime.
And though it isn't really a cartoon, whenever I hear the theme song to "The Bugs Bunny Show", I'm reminded of when I used to watch "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show" in its last seasons on ABC. I was in the Boy Scouts at the time, and once when we drove around town distributing plastic bags for a food drive I knew I didn't want to miss my Looney Tunes, so I brought a portable antenna TV so I could watch it in my dad's car between houses (interesting note: after the move to Cartoon Network, I still brought the TV along on the food drives, only then it was to watch "Pokémon").
And should I ever see a post-1964 cartoon, I'm reminded of watching "Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon" from 1994 to 1999 - it felt like they owned practically all of the Daffy/Speedy pairings and the Larriva Road Runners. I just wish I had been able to watch back when they aired Bosko cartoons.

I feel most nostalgic with 6 hour tapes. PD and crappy, they owned my 3rd year of life.
Whenever I watch "Henpecked Hoboes", "King Size Canary", "Bad Luck Blackie", "Kitty Kornered", "Back Alley Op-Roar" or "Buccaneer Bunny", I'm reminded of a time when I watched both cartoons (not at the same time) with various family members, and they enjoyed them! :)

Great topic!
Whenever I see any post-'48 Looney Tunes I'm reminded of seeing them as a kid on the 90 minutes (at one point two hours??) Saturday morning "Bugs Bunny-Road Runner Show" or weekday afternoons on channel 5's "Bugs Bunny and Friends." (the syndicated toons were never cut, and generally tended to contain material that would never fly on Saturday morning)
There are some Tom and Jerrys that remind me of watching Tom and Jerry (again, on beloved channel 5) with my friend Michelle at her grandparents' house.
What were branded in syndication as "Harveytoons" make me remember summers with Grandma at Silver Lake, NY (near Lake Placid). A local channel in Plattsburgh would run a full hour every day of those and Warners stuff...that was appointment TV for my cousin Richie and me.:audrey:
There are more but those stand out the best. Funny how TV shows or cartoons or songs will take you back like that.
