Felix is 90 Years Old!

Our favorite silent feline is 90 years old this year! Let's celebrate with this thread!

Felix the Cat is more well-known, and he starred in roughly a hundred cartoons. Merlin the Magic Mouse is rather obscure, and only hard-core LT fans or people like me that grew up watching the LTs on Nick and CN would know who he is, and he only starred in five cartoons.

I've always liked Felix the Cat. From the silent 1920s shorts to the mid-1930s Van Buren Felix shorts, to the late 1950s/early 1960s Trans-Lux Felix cartoons to the mid-1990s "Twisted Tales of Felix" episodes. The latter had some neat references to not just the 1920s shorts, but the Trans-Lux series as well (for example, Poindexter appeared in a couple of episodes as one of Felix's friends, Felix would use his magic bag at times to get out of trouble, and I recall one episode featuring exaggerated versions of the Professor and Rock Bottom!)

I think you missed the point of my post. We've been getting a lot of "X is how many years old now" posts, and IMO they're really starting to wear out.

I am sorry, I didn't know his birthday would be on November 9, i thought his first cartoons were so obscure that we had no specific date except that it would be in 1919...
