This is a great read (http://www.kentnewsnet.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticle&ustory_id=bc9cd020-e231-4b2d-9521-0e55cf504ada). She talks about the modern attitude towards animation. It's only a page long. It shouldn't take up too much of your time.

You know, this article reminded me of something one of my teachers once said. He said that there are three kinds of smart. There's book smarts, there's common sense smarts, and a combination of both smarts. This article is both of them. Pure common sense, while being pretty intelligent about it.
Thanks for sharing! :)

I quote ,"A place where Daffy Duck's traits could be taken at face value and not assumed to be a stereotype of a minority." Somebody please tell me what minority? Crazy ducks? Manic depressive ducks(chuck jones era)?Black ducks? Ducks with white stripes? Rabbit-hating ducks? Ducks with lisps? Because I don't see any stereotypes in Daffy Duck.

There are some bat-spit insane nutjobs (http://rzilla-online.com/?p=126) out there that actually think that Daffy Duck is a negro stereotype.
I made sweet fun of that noise with this blog post of mine (http://whotoldyoutosaythat.blogspot.com/2009/01/racism-most-fowl.html). :D

This article had me for a minute...but once she touted Looney Tunes as children's entertainment...she lost all credibility with me.

You forgot about schizophraniacs (cf. The Prize Pest)

I know, me too. She still makes some valid points, but probably should've done some more research.
